Unveiled Youth Potential: A Youth Consultancy!
Young people are the present. They are more educated than previous generations and possess an unmatched digital fluency, making them the most informed and connected group in history (Pew Research Center, 2015). Their ability to access and assimilate vast amounts of information enables them to provide informed insights, drive innovation, and demand meaningful social change. Young people today are acutely aware of the state of the world and prioritize mental and physical health in ways previous generations did not (Reisenwitz, 2021). They have a lower tolerance for discrimination, harassment, and exploitation and consistently advocate for equity and social justice (Parker, 2019). This positions them uniquely to experience the consequences of social inequity while retaining the energy and hope needed for innovative approaches to social change. These are just a few reasons why we believe the youth voice is essential in all organizations and systems.
At Bridges, we are committed to helping organizations and systems adapt so that youth can better create positive change. We aim to empower community partners to offer more effective programs and support for youth.
To achieve this, we are thrilled to announce the creation of our Youth Consultancy, designed to provide expert guidance, personalized support, and invaluable resources—crafted and delivered by young people.
