SOS Congo and Indigenous Rising Treaty 7 (IRT7) are thrilled to be collaborating on a free Introduction to Grant Writing Workshop for youth! Participants from both programs have expressed a strong interest in learning more about the grant writing process and developing the skills needed to secure funding for their projects.
This workshop will cover all the grant writing essentials, including where to find grants, how to communicate with funders, creating a budget, and what happens after submission. Each section will be led by a community member with relevant experience.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop their own individualized case for support and can bring forward specific grant applications they are interested in pursuing.
The workshop will conclude with an open Q&A session and offer one-on-one support.
Whether you're a creative individual looking to fund your art projects or part of a community organization, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to successfully secure funding.
No prior experience or specific applications are required, though participants are welcome to bring applications they are currently working on.
