With the holidays approaching, friends, family and connection is on everyone’s minds.  Canada Bridges has always been focused on empowering relationships between people, but this year, we have been challenged to think more deeply and creatively about how and why we build them and their importance for youth and for communities.   As we embark into a very different holiday season, and the start of a new year, those thoughts are top of mind!

Below you will find lots of updates about what’s been happening and what’s upcoming.    From the launch of Indigenous Rising Treaty 7 and transforming Story Jams into online community spaces, to responding to new invitations to broaden our network  and contributing to conversations about how we need to keep changing ourselves -  you’ll see that despite being physically separated we’re continuing to figure out how to enable youth to show up, stand up and be heard.    A huge thank you to all young leaders, partners and supporters who have helped us to continue forward in so many ways during this uncertain and unprecedented year.  There is no way we could have continued this work without the contributions of many.

One thing that remains constant is the importance of youth voice and potential throughout our communities.    We know that everyone is at very different places right now, but we would love your support and connection with this work to continue into the new year and beyond.  This may look like attending a Story Jam, making a year end financial contribution, or just reaching out to connect.   We all have different gifts and have seen the magic that can happen when we bring them all together.

Happy Holidays from Canada Bridges to all here in Treaty 7 and beyond!
