The Aboriginal Youth Explosion (AYE), sponsored by Suncor Energy Inc., is an annual event that is organized and hosted by Canada Bridges. The event brings together the collective voices of Albertan aboriginal youth to celebrate the exploration of their personal wisdom and potential.
Canada Bridges brings this event to the Calgary community for the fourth time in Summer 2015. The AYE event showcases the adventurous and challenging work being done by aboriginal youth as participants of Canada Bridges’ Unveiling Youth Potential (UYP) Program – a youth empowerment program aimed at realizing the potential of youth and young adults by supporting their leadership roles in building strong, resilient communities.
The event program includes presentations of youth stories through talks, videos, art forms, an artist exhibition, and activity session that will enable the audience to interact with and learn more about Alberta’s aboriginal cultures.
We are looking for volunteers to give their time and hearts to this event and the youth in many ways. If you are interested in being part of this amazing aboriginal event please connect with us through e-mail at email@example.com so we can welcome you to the team and better assess how you can support the 4th Annual AYE.
The event will be taking place on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Calgary Public Library’s John Dutton Theatre.
As the days draw closer to AYE 2015, we will update our website and Twitter (@CanadaBridges) account regarding the event’s schedule and other necessary information. Please stay tuned!
