Welcome to the AYE 2017 celebration!

AYE is our annual event generously sponsored this year by Suncor Energy and Community Foundations of Canada for Canada’s 150th.

AYE brings together collective voices of Indigenous youth from southern Alberta and celebrates the exploration of their personal experiences and potential. It showcases the adventurous and challenging work being done by these youth as participants of Bridges’ Unveiling Youth Potential Program – a youth empowerment program aimed at realizing the potential of youth and young adults by supporting their leadership roles in building strong, resilient communities. Our youth were amazing last year https://tinyurl.com/AYE2016

This year, we are excited to announce that in celebration of new things to come the event has a new name – A Youth Explosion!

The name change is in response to a request from AYE youth to find a name that better represents the participants who bravely take the stage each year to share their stories and their wisdom with communities from southern Alberta. By keeping a strong connection to the previous name, we hope to build off the success of past events and provide a supportive environment for youth to shine in a broader community.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a new name suggestion and we are looking forward to celebrating together at the 6th annual AYE!
