Bridges is committed to spending your donation on the needs. With few exceptions, we don’t pay volunteer experts and our overhead and administrative costs are less than 5% of our budget. We can trace every dollar. Bridges focuses on three key steps in engagement to assure transparency:
- Defining the Priorities – Bridges encourages participatory and transparent processes to enable local communities and their key stakeholders to identify and prioritize the needs of local families, women and youth. Bridges’ experts facilitate these discussions with professionalism and integrity.
- Responding to the Needs – Once local needs are defined, Bridges’ volunteer teams design and deliver education and training to local people who are positioned to address the identified priorities.
- Raising Awareness – Bridges raises awareness of the needs of families, women and youth, and communicates these priorities to others. We ensure that these stories are shared authentically and respectfully.
Bridges tracks every dollar spent. We don’t fund buildings and infrastructure; we fund the building of human capacity.
